Did you know that hostels are where it’s at for solo travelers?
I didn’t until I started traveling the world by yoga mat.
As a solo traveler and traveling yoga teacher I LOVE staying in hostels, and these:
Six Reasons Why Hostels Are Where It’s At For Solo Travelers
Free tours, free breakfast, free hammocks, and sometimes they even have kittens you can cuddle! Seriously though, free things while traveling are a HUGE perk to the travel life.
Hostels are the BEST place to easily make friends while on your travels and we all know that travel friends are the BEST friends to have in the world.
Because they are down for adventure just like YOU and travel friends they just get it.
Typically hostel workers are locals from the city you’re staying in. So they know all the secret places, the best restaurants to dine at and more! I remember the first day I stayed at a hostel and the hostel worker told me about these awesome cliffs to climb in Ireland. So I took his advice and climbed them. When I got to the top, I looked out into the ocean view and saw a dolphin jump straight out of the water! That was one of the most magical days of my life. Moral of story: Talk to the hostel workers. They know what’s up!
You’re completely on your own in a new country or city. You don’t know anyone and you barely know how to get around. Now you’re staying in a hostel with complete strangers who could end up being your life friends.
Personally, this is my FAVORITE part about travel. The unknown and the complete freedom to do YOU.
From surf hostels to art hostels to….yoga hostels, niche hostels are where it’s at in the hostel business.
Can you imagine traveling to an exotic country like Costa Rica to spend an entire week surfing and doing yoga under the jungle sun with a group of like minded travelers? I know I can!
You eat, sleep, and live life with this community that is created for what you LOVE doing!
Awesome People. Global Community.
When you’re traveling on your own, sometimes all you want is to be surrounded by awesome people. Well great news! Hostels are a community full of awesome people from around the world! And like I said travel friends are the BEST friends in the world.
I challenge you all to go on a grand adventure somewhere out in the world. Make new friends, enjoy free the stuff in life, talk to the locals, gain independence, and go find your global community! I know it’s out there waiting for you!
