This past month, I had the opportunity to teach yoga to under served communities in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The moment I landed, I knew the next 28 days were going to be a magical adventure!
I want to share that magical adventure with you. So jump on your traveling yoga mat and find me in these Six Sacred Spaces in Siem Reap, Cambodia.
A sacred jungle space to do yoga or kickboxing. It’s a yoga shala with blooming flowers, two precious dogs, and a huge space to enjoy a morning or evening flow!
Hike Phnom Krom Hill
And watch the sunset go down on the side of the mountain with your friends!
A hippie town in the middle of the river (literally). It’s full of color, bright lights, hammocks, and an entire different culture right outside the city!
Secret Library at Wat Damnak
(MY FAVORITE PLACE IN SIEM REAP!)
What better way to calm your mind or get work done than at a secret library hidden behind the famous temple Wat Dam Nak! It’s full of murals, old books, and a space to do work on the back deck. It’s perfect and my secret place.
A tour that gives you the REAL Cambodian experience. From learning how to plant rice in the rice fields to sunrise bike rides and let’s not forget the delicious Cambodian cooking class! Plus ALL of the tour proceeds go BACK to the Cambodian villages to help pay for education, provide toilets, fences, and anything the locals are in need of. By YOU taking this tour, you’re impacting the world! P.S.- check out my experience with Nhum Bai HERE.
Buddhist Temples + Kulen Waterfall
This is a day trip you don’t want to miss. Start off exploring the Buddhist Temples and getting a sacred blessing from a Buddhist Monk. Stop for a quick lunch in the village and then it’s waterfall time! The waterfall is vast, magnificent, and the perfect cool down from the hot jungle sun!
Sacred spaces are cool, but have you tried impacting the world? Lower your carbon footprint with these four activities!
Buy a designer handbag from a company that hires women, provides healthy meals with nutritional classes, provides child care, and transportation for all their employees. Not to mention most of their products are from and made in Cambodia!
Bicycling Along the River
The river is peaceful and the perfect place for a picnic lunch!
Eat delicious vegan gelato made with fruit from Cambodia and Thailand!
Want to stop using plastic straws? Get your Bamboo straws and a cup of tea while enjoying the peaceful jungle atmosphere at Peace Cafe.
Siem Reap is my sacred space in all of Southeast Asia. This city is full of healthy life choices, beautiful expats from all over the world, life changing sunsets, and a yoga community that will fill your soul nose to toes.
If impacting the world lights you up inside, then check out my new online course:

Brytta is a world traveling yoga teacher from NYC. Lover of glitter, SUP Yoga and climbing waterfalls. When she's not adventuring around the world and teaching yoga, she's writing about her adventures and coming up with new ways to take her yoga off the mat and into the world! When she's not doing any of that, she's outside studying constellations and making wishes on shooting stars. A big fan of discovering new books to read, her current favorite reads are:You are a Badass, The Gutsy Girl Handbook and Yoga Girl. ♥
