Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?
– Aubry Marie
What a meditation! Three necessary questions to ask ourselves before choosing a yoga class that fits our mind, body, and souls. Three questions to ask ourselves before jumping into a yoga pose.
Envision Festival 2018 has an AMAZING Lineup of yoga teachers, classes, and workshops ready for YOU!
Below you will find my five most anticipated yoga teachers, classes, and workshops! I am so excited to move, groove, and flow in the jungle with these instructors and here’s why!
Rocket Yoga Happy Hour w/
Rocket Yoga is one of my favorite styles of yoga to practice. There is something about challenging the body and going upside down that can awaken us to our truest selves. Traveling rocket and Ashtanga yoga instructor, Carson Clay Calhoun will be teaching a Rocket Yoga Happy Hour. Calhoun is known for his “Handstand-Up Comedy”, challenging his students to dive deep into their edge while smiling away! I don’t know about you, but smiling in a handstand is a way of life I’m ready to live!
Movement Therapy Workshop w/
Cuchira inspires me to FEEL and MOVE my body in creative ways. I LOVE watching her Instagram Videos of just feeling a moment and letting the body go and flow without judgement. I’m excited to let my body experience her Movement Therapy Workshop while letting my body feel the vibrations of the jungle!
Restorative Yin w/
Upon reading that Chelsea Latham will be teaching Restorative Yin, my heart lit up! Her overall goal is to align her students with their divine path in life and I feel that my own heart resonates with helping others do the same. A few of her offerings include yoga events throughout the world and coaching to reconnect with our dreams. To say that her Yin Class is my most anticipated class to take at Envision Festival would be an understatement! I am beyond thrilled to have an opportunity to restore by body through the Yin practice with her!
Pura Vida Vinyasa, Yintrospective, and Ha-Tha Yoga: Duality and Wholeness w/
Gina Caputo, founder of the Colorado School of Yoga will be teaching a little bit of everything at Envision. I LOVE taking classes like these, because we get a taste of ALL THINGS yoga. I truly believe that trying all the styles of yoga are what make us better teachers, students, and more whole human beings. So get ready to dive deep with Gina and breathe through something new!
Strength In Vulnerability And High(er) A Moving Meditation w/
Aubry Marie is a yoga teacher in Southern, California. She encourages vulnerability, feeling what needs to be felt, and shining your brightest light. Aubry will be teaching two 75 minute classes. The one I am SO excited to move in is The Anahata Focused back bend workshop. I suffered from scoliosis as a child, so learning new techniques and poses to be kinder to my spine is always the reason I open my heart and bend back.
And just like Aubry asked us at the beginning, ask yourself those three questions every time you move your body, every time you open your heart, every time you bend back to experience something new.
Is it true?
Is it kind?
Is it necessary?

Brytta is a traveling yoga teacher from NYC. Lover of glitter, SUP Yoga and climbing waterfalls. When she's not adventuring around the world and practicing yoga, you can find her in Chicago teaching at StudiosFUSE and probably eating vegetarian pizza. When she's not doing any of that, she's outside studying constellations and making wishes on shooting stars. A big fan of discovering new music, her current favorite musical artists to practice to are: Nahko and Medicine For The People, Trevor Hall and ODESZA. ♥
