Envision Festival is a four day festival where people from all walks of life come together to experience the jungle, learn about the environment, jam out to the best music, do yoga, and be one big community. In this week’s post, you will experience my Behind The Scenes moments at Envision Festival 2018.

Sunsets on the Playa

Sunsets at Envision Festival are how we should live life everyday. Every evening we would run out to the playa, do yoga, get muddy, or swim. Then when the sun was about to set we would ALL cheer it on! We cheered with so much joy, as if this sunset was the last one on Earth. It brings tears to my eyes, because THIS is how we should treat the Earth everyday. Cheering her on and getting excited about the grace she gives us everyday. It was truly magical!

La Sombre

VIP Housing at Envision Festival is DOPE! The team working La Sombre are beautiful. They would always go out of their way on everything from wiping our face with a moist towelette or simply offer lovely conversation. The setup was extraordinary too! There were lights draped across the jungle with ribbon chandeliers, comfy couches, healthy snacks (snacks are prime), and long tables to share meals with strangers. I loved it!

Stargazing Under the Teepees

Everyone who knows me, knows that stargazing is my most favorite thing to do in the whole wide world! At Envision Festival, there were tee-pees to lay on under the stars! What I loved is that they were in the audience of the SOL Stage. So after dancing for hours on end, the tee-pees were the perfect concert break. They provided the space for moments of silence and clarity that one may need after a full day of dancing!

Human Connection

This was the BEST part of Envision Festival. The amount of hugs, laughs, cries, brilliant conversation, and connections through sound I experienced. Humans are fucking everything guys. One of my favorite moments of human connection was when I ran into this group of people singing around a tent, but they were making up the song as they went! They had one guitar and everyone harmonized in their own way and vibed off each other’s sounds to create a beautiful song. So I joined in and had a blast! Like I said before, humans are AMAZING creatures! I think if we all lived our lives and treat each other like the way we do at Envision Festival, then the world would be an epic place all around!

The Waterfalls

This does not need an explanation, but I’ll explain anyway. Any waterfall in Costa Rica is a hella hike, but the hike is full of wildlife, silence, sounds of the jungle, green and lush EVERYWHERE!!! Then after 3-8 kilometers of hiking, the Mother Earth rewards us with a majestic waterfall to climb, swim, and meditate with. The waterfalls in Costa Rica are pure Earth magic and I truly believe that they are the secret keepers of life! These waterfalls are cold so they make our bodies feel, they are loud so we can zone out to zone IN, and they are so powerful that we have no choice but to stay present. They are truly everything the Mother Earth represents.
