Every Saturday, I will be sharing adventures from travels past.

The next few weeks will be adventures from my study abroad experience in Hydra, Greece.

I hope you experience as much magic reading about my adventures as I did living them!

This is the story of The Greek Goddesses and the most magical adventures that ever could be!

The Greek Goddesses

Camilla, Lizzie, and Fay were my roommates in Hydra. It was fate that we all met. We were always supportive of each other and taught each other many things about life. We went on the most craziest and fun adventures. One night after dinner we crashed a Greek party and danced with the family. It was so much fun and the dancing was really fast! Another night we all went bar hopping and dancing. I learned some interesting dance moves that night. We went beach hopping almost every day, even the day of our show!

I learned so much from these girls and I know we all carry those adventures with us every day.

Fay reminds me of myself a lot. She is a total goofball and a little clumsy. We would just look at each other and start cracking up for no reason. Once when we went swimming by Antigoni’s I had to get out of the water because she made me laugh so hard I could no longer swim. Fay is one of the strongest people I know and I truly admire her for that. Her strength, determination, and talent are going to get her far in this life.

Camilla is brilliant. She is brutally honest and I love it. She always had the best comebacks and perfect timing with them. She knows what she wants in life and she goes after it with all her heart. The best part is that she does not let opinions of others get to her. She stands her ground and says what she thinks. She was one out of the two directors studying in our program with us and I give her props. She had a lot of patience working with a group of actors. She had brilliant ideas for our show and her ideas came from a total different direction than everyone else. So they made me think from a total different perspective. Her ideas really helped our rehearsals grow into something I did not even know they could become. She is now studying directing in Drama Centre London. All I have to say is that school is very lucky to have someone as amazing as Camilla in their program.

Lizzie is awesome. She is also very honest except she always says those smart remarks with a smile on her face so you can’t even say anything smart back. I love it! She loves to walk everywhere! So we went on many adventures together exploring the villages and all the little side streets and stairways that go anywhere. Lizzie has it really put together and sleep is a priority with this girl. The night of the cast party, we could not find her after a while. Parties in Hydra tend to last between 4am and 7am by the way. Anyways around 230am Camilla, Fay, and I went to bed and Lizzie was already asleep. She left us the funniest note as to why she fell asleep. It was great. Also Lizzie and Fay have the most beautiful voices and they can harmonize with any song. Lizzie’s heart is full of gold and I think that is truly wonderful!

The best part about having these girls as roommates for two weeks, is knowing that even though we are all from different places, we all go through the same struggles in life and that really we aren’t alone. I learned so many life lessons just from spending two weeks with them. I think the greatest lesson we all learned was to not let anyone make us feel like we are nothing because we are all so exceptional and deserve the absolute best in life. We laughed, we cried, we listened, and we loved.

And all I have to say is thank you. Thank you all for being the support I needed. Thank you for your strength and determination. Thank you for your brilliant ideas and endless laughter. And lastly thank you for the best adventure I have ever been on!

Oh.

And one last thing.

He offered her the world.

The Greek Goddesses

She said she had her own.
